The Minds Behind the Protocol

Yuzu Money: Who We Are and What We Stand For

A lean, dedicated team building institutional fixed-income infrastructure onchain. We believe that transparency and professional risk management should not be exclusive to hedge funds.

Our Mission

Yield That Makes Sense

Most onchain yield originates from inflationary token incentives or opaque leverage. Yuzu Money targets a 7% return backed by genuine fixed-income assets — T-bills, investment-grade credit, and short-duration bonds.

Transparency by Design

Every asset allocation, redemption queue, and accrued yield figure is accessible onchain. We publish real-time proof-of-solvency data so you never have to simply take our word for it.

Accessible to Everyone

Institutional fixed-income desks have enjoyed access to structured yield products for decades. The Yuzu Money platform opens the same opportunity to any wallet holder — no minimum AUM, no intermediary fees.

Disciplined Risk Management

The team applies portfolio-level risk controls drawn from traditional fixed-income management: duration limits, credit quality floors, and counterparty exposure caps. Yield is never pursued at the expense of stability.

Technology & Architecture

The Yuzu Money protocol is built on audited smart contracts deployed on EVM-compatible networks. Real-world asset tokenization is handled through regulated issuance partners — currently Centrifuge, Securitize, and Superstate — each operating under distinct legal and compliance frameworks.

Smart Contract Layer

Vault contracts handle deposit routing, share accounting, and redemption queues. Each yzPrime vault holds tokenized RWA positions as collateral. Contract code is publicly verified and has undergone independent security audits — reports are linked in the documentation.

Onchain Proof of Solvency

Total liabilities and total assets are both recorded onchain at the protocol level. A live dashboard powered by Accountable Capital allows anyone to confirm that Yuzu Money's TVL is fully backed at any given moment — not just during scheduled reporting windows.

Asset Whitelist Registry

Only pre-approved tokenized assets may be held within Yuzu Money vaults. The whitelist registry is onchain and governed by the protocol. Introducing new asset types requires satisfying credit and liquidity criteria — there is no discretionary override.

Our Approach to Yield

The team behind Yuzu Money comes from traditional fixed-income and quantitative finance backgrounds. That history informs how we think about yield — not as a figure to maximise at any cost, but as a product of asset quality, duration, and portfolio construction.

01

Asset Selection

Every position is evaluated against duration, credit rating, issuer concentration, and liquidity constraints before entering the whitelist.

02

Portfolio Rebalancing

Allocations are reviewed continuously. When market conditions shift — rate moves, credit spread widening, or liquidity changes — the portfolio is adjusted within the same session.

03

Redemption Management

A 3-day redemption window gives the protocol adequate time to liquidate underlying positions in an orderly manner. This shields remaining depositors from forced selling.

The Team

Yuzu Money is built by a tight-knit, cross-disciplinary group. Core contributors span protocol engineering, fixed-income strategy, smart contract security, and product design. The team operates across multiple time zones and coordinates publicly through Discord and Telegram.

Protocol Engineering
Smart contracts & infrastructure

Responsible for vault architecture, security reviews, and integration with RWA issuance platforms. Works closely with external auditors on every new contract deployment.

Fixed-Income Strategy
Portfolio construction & risk

Backgrounds in institutional credit markets. Defines asset eligibility criteria, oversees rebalancing decisions, and monitors duration and liquidity risk across the portfolio at all times.

Product & Design
UX, interfaces & documentation

Transforms complex fixed-income mechanics into clear, intuitive interfaces. Maintains the Gitbook documentation and ensures new features launch with thorough user-facing explanations.

Operations & Compliance
Legal, partners & onboarding

Manages relationships with tokenization partners like Centrifuge and Securitize. Handles legal structuring, KYC/AML workflows for institutional participants, and regulatory coordination across jurisdictions.

Partners & Integrations

The protocol does not itself issue or custody real-world assets. Instead, Yuzu Money integrates with established tokenization platforms that handle legal ownership, regulatory compliance, and asset servicing. This separation of concerns is deliberate — it keeps the smart contract layer straightforward while ensuring assets are held within regulated structures.

Centrifuge

Centrifuge supplies the tokenization infrastructure for private credit and structured finance positions. Their Tinlake and Centrifuge Chain stack has processed over $500M in real-world assets.

Securitize

Securitize is a registered transfer agent and broker-dealer in the US. Their platform manages compliance, investor onboarding, and issuance of tokenized securities on behalf of asset managers.

Superstate

Superstate issues short-duration US government fund tokens. Their USTB product gives Yuzu Money direct exposure to Treasury bill yields with daily liquidity and an SEC-registered fund structure.

What We Actually Believe

Verification over trust

Every material claim the Yuzu Money protocol makes — TVL, yield accrual, asset composition — is verifiable onchain. We do not ask users to rely on a dashboard we control.

Boring is good

A 7% yield from government-backed and investment-grade instruments is not thrilling. That is precisely the point. The Yuzu Money platform is not a casino. Predictable, stable returns compound well over time.

Measured and deliberate expansion

New asset types are added only after completing the full whitelist review. New chains are deployed following audits specific to that network. Getting the architecture right takes priority over speed-to-market.

Open by default

Audit reports, documentation, asset whitelists, and solvency proofs are all public. The team communicates through open Telegram and Discord channels, not behind closed doors.
